Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead is pleased to launch a new traditional Afternoon Tea service, starting August 29th, 2019. Curated by Executive Chef Christophe Truchet, this latest offering brings a unique local twist to traditional afternoon tea service with the addition of Southern culinary inspiration and flavors, presenting a new classic experience for guests and locals to enjoy.
Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead’s Afternoon Tea can be enjoyed in the Café & Bar or on the al fresco terrace overlooking the tranquil English Gardens. Guests are presented with a selection of fine teas alongside traditional accompaniments of finger sandwiches, pastries and scones—or buttermilk biscuits in true Southern fashion—with clotted cream, butter and assorted fruits. Patrons will also enjoy a glass of Champagne with their experience.
Chef Christophe has prepared a diverse selection of savory sandwiches, ranging from the namesake Waldorf Chicken Salad on multigrain bread todeviled farms eggs with house truffle mayonnaise and Espelette pepper. To complement the savory, he presents classic Southern sweets such as mini peach cobbler, chocolate mud pie and banana pudding.
